Model HPB Spring Applied/Air Release Oil Filled Brake

Model HPB Spring Applied/Air Released Brakes are designed to mount on the rear C-flange of motors, or between the flanges of motors and reducers or pumps. The brakes contain multiple friction linings that are immersed in an oil bath, providing longer service life and protecting the brakes from corrosive atmospheres.

HPB brakes have been designed and used on motors that include horsepower ratings of 20HP, 25HP, 40HP, 60HP, and 100HP. The brakes have been typically applied as static holding brakes on winch systems in the off shore oil industry, but can be applied in many other applications.
