PE Positive engagement clutch

The PE Positive Engagement Air Clutch uses pneumatic actuation to mechanically engage precision gear teeth, delivering positive, zero-slip torque transmission with accurate shaft positioning. Unlike friction clutches, the PE Series provides full torque transfer without slippage, making it ideal for indexing, positioning, and synchronized drive applications.

A compact air cylinder requires pressure only during engagement, reducing bearing loads and extending service life. The clutch disengages only at zero RPM and is available with multiple bore sizes, optional flex-half couplings, and torque capacities from 2,000 to 50,000 in-lb.
