9052 - Spring applied hydraulic release
The Carlson 9052 Spring Applied / Hydraulic Release Caliper Brake is a heavy-duty industrial brake engineered for high-capacity static holding, emergency stopping, and fail-safe braking applications. Heavy-duty springs continuously apply clamping force to the rotor, while hydraulic pressure releases the brake for smooth, drag-free operation during normal equipment use.
Built with a rugged cast ductile iron housing and steel piston assembly, the 9052 is designed to withstand the demanding conditions of heavy industrial machinery while delivering exceptional braking performance and long service life. High-temperature, non-asbestos friction linings provide reliable holding power, excellent wear characteristics, and dependable operation in severe-duty environments.
Designed for use with 36-inch and 42-inch diameter rotors, the 9052 features an open caliper design that allows easy inspection and routine maintenance. Its high 25,000-pound brake force, robust construction, and dependable spring-applied operation make it an ideal solution for heavy industrial equipment requiring maximum holding power, fail-safe braking, and long-term reliability.
