7603 - Spring applied air release

The Carlson 7603 Dual Caliper Brake is a heavy-duty, spring applied / air release brake designed for reliable stopping and holding performance in demanding industrial applications. Its fail-safe design automatically applies braking force when air pressure is removed and releases at a minimum of 80 PSI.

Featuring dual calipers, rugged steel housing construction, stainless steel pistons and cylinders, and high-temperature non-asbestos friction linings, the 7603 delivers up to 167,000 in-lbs of static torque with a 40" rotor. Its open design provides easy inspection and maintenance while delivering increased braking capacity for heavy-duty applications.
