The Carlson 7003 Spring Applied / Air Release Caliper Brake is a heavy-duty industrial brake designed for static holding, emergency stopping, and fail-safe braking applications. Heavy-duty springs apply consistent clamping force to the rotor, while compressed air releases the brake for smooth, drag-free operation during normal equipment use.

Featuring a rugged open steel housing, stainless steel piston and cylinder assembly, and pedestal-mounted construction, the 7003 delivers dependable braking performance in demanding industrial environments. Its compact design provides high clamp force and consistent static torque while allowing easy access for inspection and routine maintenance.

High-temperature non-asbestos friction linings provide long service life and reliable braking performance, while the open construction simplifies servicing and lining replacement.
